These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Ocean Bliss Travel website https://oceanblisstravel.com/ and your relationship with Ocean Bliss Travel , a travel agency based in Belgium. By accessing or using our Site and booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Site or book our services.
1. About Us and Our Services
Ocean Bliss Travel is a Sri Lanka-based travel specialist operating from Belgium. We create personalized travel experiences, including cultural journeys, wildlife adventures, and beach escapes, as showcased on our Site.

2. Definitions
In these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- “Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”: Refers to Ocean Bliss Travel.
- “Client,” “you,” “your”: Refers to the individual or organization booking our services.
- “Services”: The travel-related services we provide, including but not limited to itinerary planning, tour bookings, accommodation reservations, and travel advice.
- “Tour Price”: The total cost of the package or service as agreed upon in your booking confirmation.
- “Package Travel Arrangement”: A combination of at least two different types of travel services (e.g., transport + accommodation) for the same trip, as defined by European and Belgian law.
3. Booking and Confirmation
- Bookings: To book a tour or service, you must contact us directly via email or phone. All bookings are subject to availability and our confirmation.
- Confirmation: A booking is only considered confirmed when you receive a written confirmation from us via email. This confirmation will detail your itinerary, the Tour Price, and all relevant terms.
- Client Responsibility: It is your responsibility to provide accurate information at the time of booking. This includes your full name (as it appears on your passport), contact details, travel dates, and any special requirements or medical conditions. Failure to do so may result in booking errors or cancellations, for which we are not liable.
4. Payments and Pricing
- Tour Price: All prices are quoted in the currency specified in your quote or confirmation. We strive to ensure all prices on our Site are accurate, but errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of a service you have booked, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option to reconfirm at the correct price or cancel your booking.-4
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your arrangements. The deposit amount will be specified in your quote.
- Balance: The remaining balance of the Tour Price must be paid no later than the date specified in your booking confirmation (usually 30 days or more before departure). If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and apply cancellation charges.
- Payment Methods: We accept payments via bank transfer or other methods as agreed upon at the time of booking. You are responsible for any bank transfer fees.
- Price Changes: The Tour Price is subject to change due to factors beyond our control, such as increases in transportation costs (e.g., fuel), taxes, fees, or exchange rates. We reserve the right to pass on these increases to you. However, we will not increase the price within 20 days of your departure date, and we will provide you with written notice and a breakdown of any price changes.-4-8
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellation by You:
- All cancellations must be made in writing (via email to hello@oceanblisstravel.com).
- The date of cancellation is the date we receive your written notice.
- Cancellation charges will be applied as a percentage of the total Tour Price, based on the number of days before the departure date we receive your notice. The specific charges will be stated in your booking confirmation but typically follow this structure:
- More than 60 days: Loss of deposit.
- 59 – 30 days: 50% of the Tour Price.
- 29 – 15 days: 75% of the Tour Price.
- 14 days or less: 100% of the Tour Price.
- Cancellation by Us:
- We reserve the right to cancel a tour or service for reasons of force majeure (see Section 9), or if the minimum number of participants required for a group tour is not reached.
- If we cancel due to not reaching the minimum number of participants, we will inform you no later than the deadline stated in your booking confirmation and offer you a full refund or an alternative tour of equivalent or greater value.-8
- Refunds: In the event of a cancellation for which you are entitled to a refund, the refund will be processed using the same payment method used for the original booking. We are not responsible for any currency exchange rate fluctuations or bank charges.
6. Changes by You or Us
- Changes by You: If you wish to change your booking (e.g., dates, destinations), we will do our best to accommodate your request. Changes are subject to availability and may incur administrative fees and additional charges from our suppliers. Any such costs will be passed on to you.
- Changes by Us: We aim to provide the services as described. However, we may occasionally need to make changes to your itinerary or accommodation due to circumstances beyond our control. If we make a significant change before departure, we will inform you as soon as possible. You will have the choice to:
- Accept the change.
- Accept an alternative tour of equivalent or greater value.
- Cancel your booking and receive a full refund.
7. Client Responsibilities and Conduct
- Passports and Visas: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity beyond your return date), and any necessary visas, permits, or vaccinations for your trip. We can provide general advice but are not liable for any issues arising from your failure to obtain correct documentation.-5
- Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. This insurance must cover medical expenses, personal injury, death, repatriation, and cancellation or curtailment of your trip. You are responsible for arranging your own travel insurance and providing us with the policy details upon request. We are not liable for any losses incurred due to your lack of adequate insurance.
- Health and Safety: You must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect your ability to participate in the tour before booking. We will use reasonable efforts to accommodate your needs. You are responsible for your own safety and for following the instructions of our guides and local partners.
- Conduct: We expect our clients to behave in a respectful and lawful manner. We reserve the right to terminate your participation in a tour without refund if your behavior is disruptive, threatening, or causes harm to others or our partners.
8. Liability and Limitations
- Our Role: We act as an organizer for package travel arrangements and as an agent for other services. We have a duty to select our suppliers (hotels, transport operators, guides) with reasonable skill and care.
- Supplier Liability: We are not liable for any acts, omissions, or negligence of our suppliers that are beyond our control. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by Belgian and European law.
- Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with our services shall be limited to the total amount you paid to us for the specific service or package.
- Damages: We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, losses, or expenses (including loss of enjoyment) arising from your trip, unless caused by our own negligence.
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations or for any delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure”). Force Majeure includes, but is not limited to, war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, natural disasters, pandemics, significant adverse weather conditions, acts of government, strikes, and technical failures in transport.
10. Complaints
- On-Trip Issues: If you experience a problem during your trip, you must immediately inform our local representative or contact us directly at hello@oceanblisstravel.com. We will make every effort to resolve the issue promptly.
- Formal Complaints: If you remain dissatisfied, you must submit a formal written complaint within 28 days of the end of your trip, providing full details and any supporting documentation. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to provide a final response within 28 days.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Your continued use of the Site and our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
